Disable OpenOffice Writer's Auto-Typing

Question:

Writer tries to anticipate words for you that have already appeared in the document in question (at least I believe that's how it works) and the word you are typing will have a highlighted possible completion of itself there on screen. If you hit ENTER it loads on the page.

It's exceedingly annoying and distracting, and almost always anticipates wrongly. The nuns at St. Peter's taught me not to repeat myself, and to invest in a quality thesaurus, which advice I followed diligently. I don't mind the occasional spell-check, but I want it when I want it. It's like having a friend who finishes all of your sentences for you, and badly at that.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Question:

I was wondering if there is a way to print all of the man pages from the terminal. Or perhaps E-mail them to myself. I'm only about two weeks into my Ubuntu experience and it seems to me man is the best (free) resource I can get to expand my command line skills.

Thanks.

Printing from Ubuntu to Orange Livebox

A quick note:

Quote:
baza41 has already posted one way of doing what i'm about to cover using the CUPS Web interface, The instructions are to do the same thing, using the Ubuntu Printer GUI Interface.

The live box is a device supplied by Orange when you sign u in the UK (and possibly elsewhere) for their broadband package. When i first got the box, i thought it was a bit of tat, something for the iPOD generation however, the more i use it, the more I like it. The wireless does work with the device (covered on other posts if you are stuck) however this feature is a great one Wireless Printing. You can spend up to 60GBP+ to get a wireless print server, however the Livebox does it. And its quick and easy with Ubuntu. (I'm using 7.04) from the GUI follo these instructions.

LiMo, Google and Symbian: Cooperation Needed

The past two years have ushered in three new open source efforts focused on bringing the software to the mobile phone platform: The Open Handset Alliance, the LiMo Foundation and Symbian, the platform Nokia is intent on opening up following its full purchase. This could bring a slew of new options to consumers, but success may require a certain amount of cooperation among the competitors.
When it comes to cell phone software, open is the new black. In less than two years, no fewer than three coalitions have formed with the intent of building mobile handset operating systems with input from all comers. Suddenly the business of developing mobile software -- once handled by coders working behind closed doors for a single vendor or group -- has gone open source.
